The Frickey Law Firm Secures Full Policy Limits of $1.47 Million for Client Severely Injured in Catastrophic Rollover Collision
Lakewood, CO — The Frickey Law Firm announced today that it has successfully secured $1,475,001.18 in full policy limits for a client who suffered life-altering injuries in a violent rollover motor vehicle collision caused by a driver’s failure to yield the right of way.
The collision occurred on November 16, 2022, at approximately 7:21 a.m., at the intersection of West Jewell Avenue and West Iliff Drive in Lakewood, Colorado. The at-fault driver stopped at a stop sign but then pulled directly into the path of the firm’s client, striking the passenger side of her SUV with extreme force.
As a result of the impact, the client’s vehicle rotated approximately 180 degrees clockwise and rolled one and one-quarter times, ultimately coming to rest on its driver’s side. Both the front and side curtain airbags deployed. Before emergency responders arrived, bystanders were forced to physically roll the vehicle back onto its wheels in order to assist the trapped driver.
The client sustained catastrophic and permanent injuries, including:
- A T4 burst fracture with approximately 50% vertebral height loss and 2 mm of retropulsion into the spinal canal
- Severe aggravation of a pre-existing L5-S1 spinal condition, ultimately requiring both anterior and posterior lumbar fusion surgery with implanted hardware
- Post-concussive syndrome with cognitive impairment
- Multiple additional soft tissue and neurological injuries
